Adrianna Darlow’s squad returned to some normality on Saturday after last week’s injury and availability issues but were still missing an early runner for the player of the year Jake Chapman through injury.
The bowling unit again did there job at Handsworth, as they restricted the home side to 119 for 9. There were two wickets each for Darlow, Oliver Heseltine and Linton Shore.
In reply the away team got off to a solid start with openers Mark Kenny and Chris Stott both getting starts. When they out for 29 and 10 respectively, it started the collapse as only Freddie Egginton reaching double figures. He made 18 as Barnsley were all out 20 short of their target.
