Barnsley have secured their first transfer for the 2023 season with the acquisition of seamer Adam Copley.
Adam joins us from Middlesex League outfit Brondesbury CC, where our former first team, keeper Tom Shaw, currently plays. He was instrumental in Brondesbury returning to the ECB Middlesex Premier League as Champions with 52 wickets at an average of just 13.79.
Leeds born Copley, 24, has returned from his studies in London and will be available all season.
The seam attack needed some fire power and the club believe his signature adds to an already competitive squad.
Copley stated, ‘I’m delighted to be joining such a big club, can’t wait to keep improving, meet up with the lads and hopefully have a great year.’
Cricket Chairman Jason Booth added, ‘Upon meeting Adam, we knew he was just what the club were looking for, his ambition to keep improving is evident when you chat to him. He’ll fit in perfectly.’
