TEAM OF THE WEEK
WILLIAM CHAPMAN
William has settled in very well at the top of the order since his promotion to the ones, he’s currently averaging 35.83 with 215 runs. His 44 on Saturday, whilst early wickets fell around him, was a good start, although he’ll have wanted to go on and make it a match winning performance.
FREDDIE CHAPMAN
A first second team century for Freddie, was enough for him to win the Griffin of the Week. His patience was to be commended, as he brought it up in the 49th over to help give his side something to bowl at.
DAIREN HIRST-SPALDING
18 year old Dairen made 45 from 88 balls as he held the third eleven batting order together in their victory over Upper Haugh.
SEAN WHITEHEAD
The South African overseas brought up his second first team half century in their narrow loss to Tickhill. He made 53 from 58 balls, he also took 1 for 51 from his 15 overs.
JASH GIYANANI
Jash is enjoying a run of form with the bat as he made 37, but his bowling figures of 5 for 59 made him a shoe in for the team of the week.
BEN BENTLEY
Ben has made himself a genuine all rounder so far this season. He currently tops the third team run charts and added 45 runs off 48 balls on Saturday.
ALEX GOUGH
The third team skipper leads the way the ball in his side, his 5 for 29 on Saturdaytake his league wickets to 20. He then took 2 for 20 in their cup loss against Hatfield. He also made 31 with the bat on Sunday.
ETHAN SHILLITO
Ethan was Alex’s fellow destroyer on Saturday with 5 for 36 and is 4 wickets behind Gough. He made 39 and took two wickets on Sunday too.
MAX HESELTINE
Max saw the second team go from 86 for 2 to 97 for 7, before he strode to the wicket. He added 60 runs with Freddie Chapman, making 30 not out himself.
FINLEY PARKER-WAKE
Fin’s promotion to the second team didn’t stop him adding to his wicket tally as he claimed the first two wickets to fall at Shaw Lane. He also added a wicket on Sunday at Woolley.
ZAIN ALI
15 year old Zain claimed 2 for 42 on Sunday in the third teams loss to Hatfield.
