Owen Smith will be boosted by a great start to the season, he scored a century in the pre season friendly against North Yorkshire Premier League Champions, Clifton Alliance. He then backed that up midweek for Yorkshire U18s against Durham with 122 from just 78 balls.

Doncaster lost Jaden Fell for most of last season due to injury, they welcomed him back on Saturday with an unbeaten 44.

The battle of the overseas for this one looks a fascinating one and could go a long way towards determining the outcome of the game.

All in all, someone will leave Shaw Lane with a maximum 24 points for the season and fingers crossed for us Griffins that it’s Barnsley.
