Picking the seconds confidence up will be the task of skipper Andrew Clayton today. Two out of the last three league games have seen them lose to more than likely two of the relegation teams for this season. So it doesn’t take a genius to work out where that leaves this side. A lack of game awareness is killing the team at present and will be the first challenge for the team to overcome. There’s enough talent in that dressing room to challenge at the right end of the table but decision making has to improve. They currently sit eighth in the table.
Alfie Gosney and Freddie Egginton come into the side from last week, as they try to bolster the batting line up. Alfie will have dried his tears from his Wembley visit last Saturday, after the result, I’m sure he’d have rather been at Shaw Lane.
They welcome Wickersley today, who sit two places below Barnsley and nothing short of a victory will be good enough to start looking up in the table, rather than down.
