Adrianna Darlow not only made history on Saturday, but was she the only winning captain for the club. The leagues first ever female to skipper a senior team also enjoyed a great day herself with 38 not out and a five for.
Woolley played host to the Sheffield Caribbean second team and won the toss and put Barnsley into bat. Mark Kenny and Chris Stott opened the batting and they got off to a flyer. Stott was out for 14, bringing the captain to the crease. Mark Kenny hit the sides first half century and when he was out for 61, Steve Dixon continued the quick scoring vein making 24. His dismissal brought in Jake Hepworth, who blasted a quick 47. It gave the home side an above average score of 204 for 4.
In all fairness, Sheffield Caribbean had a good go at reaching their target but the off spin of the skipper meant that they finished 31 runs short. Steve Dixon took two wickets at the death as Caribbean finished on 173 for 9.
