Barnsley enjoyed their first win of the season in their first home game at Woolley. Steve Dixon‘s team looked a cut above thanks mainly to Ishaq Shenwari’s three wickets and 67 not out chasing, plus five wickets for Isaac Wilkes.
Bradfield took first dig and at 113 for 2, they looked well placed to amount a big total, however the introduction of off spinner, Wilkes so the opposition reduced to 149 all out. Wilkes’s figures of 5 for 38 and fellow off spinner Hayden Parker-Wake’s 2 for 19, gave the home team are great chance of recording their first victory.
The majority of runs were scored by Shenwari but he received support from Wilkes (15) and Charlie Hay (14), it was then left to skipper Dixon to help see Barnsley home with 6 overs and three wickets to spare.
