The Junior season started well at Woolley on Monday evening with a 99 run victory against Cawthorne. Ollie and Isaac opened the bowling well and were amongst the wickets from the off. Nathesh was the quickest of the bowlers, and when we gets his run up right, he'll be a handful at this age. Mayon's spin is coming on well and Harry's bustling seamers were enough for him to be amongst the wickets. Harman and Will both did well too and reduced Cawthorne to 46 for 10 from their 16 overs. Keeper Vinnie was also involved in a run out, Ollie finishing with 4 wickets.

Barnsley only lost one wicket in reply, which is very encouraging for the coaches, as every batter played their part. Ollie followed his four wickets with 34 with the bat and was backed up by Isaac, who scored 17.

Overall there were very good signs for the young Griffins moving forward and plenty to work hard on in the coming months.
